Tip Tuesday – Moisturize My Face, But Why?

Tip Tuesday! (better late than never)

MOISTURIZE!!! Today, I’m talking about your face, but don’t forget the rest of your body, too!

Best time to moisturize is right after you cleanse. Don’t rub your face, but pat it dry, and then apply within the first minute. An everyday moisturizer is key. You want something that is not too heavy, not too light, and FULL of the things your face needs everyday. Don’t just wipe, smear, or rub it into your face, instead, pay and press! Always let your moisturizer set for 2-3 minutes before applying anything else.

But, why should you moisturize?
Not moisturizing could cause you to develop more wrinkles, or make the ones you have worse, make your skin appear dull and flaky, aggravate any acne, and even make you have itchy skin. Not to mention, your face can actually overproduce oil because it’s dry! Moisturizing helps keep skin young, supple, and reduces the chances of other skin problems.

Even if you have oily skin, don’t be afraid of a face oil!
It might sound counter-intuitive but face oil really is for everyone. Whether your skin is naturally dry, oily, or in between, face care is all about getting the right things on and the wrong things off. That means adding wonderful nutrients with a face oil really does work on any skin type!

Posh has a handful, or so, to choose from when it comes to moisturizers, so I’ve given a little description of each below.

Dawn on Me (click here):
Our day time, lighter concoction, gives you a dewy look without weighing you down. It includes things like coffee oil for a bit of a tightening lift. It has sunflower oil, plus jojoba, and argan oils to help with anti-aging. It also makes for an awesome makeup primer! Side tip: mix a few drops with your foundation for luxurious coverage!

Call it a Night (click here):
Our bed time oil, features a jojoba base with an essential oil blend to help soften and plump skin overnight. It has vanilla, rosemary, and clove (clove oil can help with cystic acne), tat go to work helping to fight free radicals while you sleep.
Night and Day (click here):
This is a perfect anytime moisturizer. Light, but nourishing, with olive oil, aloe. It won’t clog pores, and contains hyaluronic acid that can absorb 1000x it’s own weight in water to fill cells with moisture. Not to mention it is calming with lavender essential oils.

Moisturize 911 (click here):
This is a great moisturizer for morning and night, while I typically use this in the morning, and our Never Grow Up creme at night. It is intentionally light-feeling, with an aloe base, and one of our best sellers! It’s loaded with hydrating sodium hyaluronate, infusing a clean ace with moisture. Added caffeine and vitamin C help tighten and brighten immediately, to help you look awake and fresh.
Never Grow Up creme (click here):
Made to follow our Never Grow Up serum, this rich overnight moisturizing creme features fruit extracts, natural oils, and brightening vitamin c. Don’t forget the amino acids and antioxidants this gold medal night creme contains!

I hope this week’s Tip Tuesday helped spread some skincare knowledge! Until next week!
